End-to-End Quality is key to tracking Application Performance
Setting SLAs on Availability or Traffic Levels are a start, but if your business depends on a network you need to see end-to-end performance. Not just averages or summarised figures, but a real picture of how performance varies against activity on the network.
Highlight's Performance Insight (PI) shows you, graphically and in real time, how end-to-end performance across your network changes. Choose the type of test to perform - a simple ICMP 'ping', or directly test servers such as EMail or Web Applications. Set the target destination, and Highlight will automatically use agents in Juniper, Cisco or Lucent routers (for example Cisco's Service Assurance Agent, or Juniper's Realtime Performance Monitor) and graphically plot the results below traffic, health and application data - giving you a complete picture of your network that's understandable by people at all levels.
Highlight's unique 'spot' plots show performance changing, minute-by-minute.

Highlight graphically plots test results, with increasing colour-temperature towards a target level. The mosaic format makes it instantly clear whether health, traffic or stability levels affect delay.
Statistical values per day, week or month show previous periods for comparison to assess trends, indicative packet loss, jitter and within SLA percentage. Download to spreadsheet if necessary.
