How Highlight works

The Highlight service collects data from your existing network, rather than needing additional hardware or software probes.  The service can extract basic information from almost any network device - routers, switches, or hosts from dozens of manufacturers. 

Commonly, additional functionality is available in your network - such as in many Cisco devices - and Highlight utilises it to provide richer visibility, such as Network Delay, or Application Behaviour.

The actual Highlight platform either runs on NetEvidence' high availability architecture, or on an installation within a Partner's Network.

Either way, NetEvidence provide a fully managed service for the platform which includes installation (when necessary), maintenance, support, administration and upgrades.

Customers enable connectivity to target devices and configure security for the data collection. 

Data collection
